Wine News Review Rated 92 Feathered garnet hue. Flinty, dusty aromas with secondary raspberry notes. Racy and crisp with a peppery nuance attached to the tart berry fruit. Youthful finish with fine tannins, crisp acids and drying mineral accents.
Wine Enthusiast Review Rated 90 Made solidly in the modern cult style of fruity ripeness, softness and rich oak shadings, this inaugural red from Gary Heck is a Cab-based Bordeaux blend with a splash of Sangiovese. It has complicated layers of blackberries, cherries, currants and milk chocolate. Quite delicious in primary fruit flavors, it could well be an ager.
Wine Tasting Notes The Pininfarina Vino Rosso is a great expression of the character of Napa Valley wines. The aromas start off with a hint of vanilla and nutmeg spice, which quickly give way to black currant and raspberry notes. On the palate, the first impression is of concentrated fruit, particularly black currants and blueberries. The tannin structure of this wine is balance with excellent fruit complexity and a robust, round, mid-palate. This balance of fruit and ripe tannins is one of the hallmarks of the best Napa Valley wines.
