The dark amber-colored Palo Cortado Viejo offers smoky aromatics, a rich palate with layers of intense flavor. It reminds me of a great vintage Darroze Armagnac. Sherry is a beverage worthy of far greater attention than it currently receives in the USA.

Wine Tasting Notes
Aged for many more than 30 years. This is a highly select sherry matured slowly through a solera system gaining all the best characteristics of an Amontillado (complex and full nutty aroma) and all the best of an Oloroso (rich full smooth flavor). Extremely scarce and one of Hidalgo's 'jewels.
