Wine Tasting Notes
Very complex, concentrated expression of cool climate Syrah - the gamey side of Syrah is balanced by the fruit intensity and a food-friendly level of acidity. The aromas are deep and layered, with notes of blueberry, boysenberry, beef carpaccio, chocolate, spice and anise. Big, bold tannins and flavors of plum, currant and white pepper lead to a long, satisfying finish. The wines unique composition includes a blend of Estrella River selection and Clone 877. This Syrah is beautifully paired with an elegant filet mignon or beef tenderloin and savory, wild mushroom soup.
