Pacific Ridge Vineyards Grace Napa Red Blend 2004
Rated 91

Wine Enthusiast Review
This is a Merlot-Cabernet blend from St. Helena and Oakville. It's pretty good, dry and rich in black currants, cherries and oak. The tannins are stronger than on your average gooey cult Cab, with a peppery astringency suggesting modest aging. Try after 2008.

Wine Tasting Notes
This wine is named after Grace Kelly, the matriarch of the Kelly family. The family estate has a vineyard on a ridge at about 1000 feet above sea level, overlooking the Pacific, hence the name Pacific Ridge. Most of the fruit was sourced from a vineyard in Oakville near Opus One and Paradigm, and close to the base of the Harlan Estate hill. The remainder was chosen from St. Helena to achieve a rich blend with a powerful punch, long finish, outstanding balance and complexity.
