Dark as a moonless midnight, dry as a desert, and chockful of thick, dusty tannins, but saved by overall balance and complexity and a deep core of black cherry fruit. Almost impossible to drink now except with something huge, like lamb. Should develop nicely through 2010.

Classic rock red soil and the gentle southern exposure of our vineyard help ensure full ripeness in the fruit. Concentrated red and black fruit flavors are highlighted by roasted coffee and chocolate notes in the finish.
