The highlight of this winery year in and year out is their Saeculum, a barrique-aged blend of 60% Sangiovese, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Merlot. The superb opaque ruby/purple-colored 2000 Saeculum exhibits a big, sweet bouquet of melted chocolate fudge, espresso roast, blackberries, and cherries with a suggestion of licorice and leather in the background.
