Product DescriptionWine Advocate Review
I loved the 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape Clos de l'Oratoire des Papes, and this blend of 65% Grenache, 25% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre is one of the gems in the lineup. Black raspberries, blackberries, cured meats and licorice all emerge from this full-bodied, beautifully textured barrel sample that has first rate purity, ripe tannin and impeccable balance. It should drink nicely through 2025.
Wine Tasting Notes
Complex, open nose with aromas of blackberry fruit, floral notes of violets, and fresh moss, accented by hints of new leather, ginger and allspice. Rich and harmonious, showing superb maturity. Ripeness and power on the palate. The clean, intense front presents beautiful red fruit and spice, with a touch of minerality. The silky tannin structure provides a long finish of exotic fruit flavors.
Grape Varietals: Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah & Mourvedre.
