Wine Advocate Review Rated 90 The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Earthquake is another 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Lodi, but with a much smaller production of 31,000 cases. Aged in French oak, it reveals more charcoal and smoky barbecue notes intermixed with the tell-tale hallmark of the Cabernet Sauvignon grape, blackcurrant fruit, as well as tobacco leaf and licorice characteristics. With surprising complexity, this dense, medium to full-bodied, rich Cabernet Sauvignon should keep for 5-7 years. It tastes like it should cost 3 to 4 times the price.
Wine Tasting Notes Groundbreaking Cabernet fruit awakens the nose with cherries and rich plum. The palate is flavored with more plum, cherry and currant that balance out the bold tannins.
This is a nice wine full of flavor with just a touch of dry, enough to make it a Cabernet. I'm not a wine connoisseur but I do know what tastes good, and this does.
Why not try it, I'll bet you like it, if you like a Cabernet that is.
