The Carelli Winery Latitud 34º Malbec is deep opaque purple with intense developing aromas of violet, plum, and blackberry. The palate is a loaded with an abundance of dark fruit flavors. This wine just doesn't stop revealing notes of blueberry, cassis, blackberry, and raspberry. Outstanding fruit flavors drive this wine. There is a touch of earthiness, but it's much more fruit dominated. This wine offers very good acidity with medium plus body. This well constructed Malbec is a terrific value at this price. The wine coats your mouth with a finish that lasts a long time. I wouldn't recommend any light fare with this wine, go with barbequed or braised red meats. Buy it by the case, I did.
