James Suckling Review Rated 92 A refined and very fine wine with medium, velvety tannins and dried strawberries. Medium body, a polished texture and a flavorful finish. Floral undertones. Better in 2018.
VinoUS Media Review Rated 91 Brilliant ruby-red. Dark berries, cherry cola and a hint of allspice on the deeply perfumed nose. Densely packed cherry and black raspberry flavors show very good energy for their heft and pick up a hint of smokiness on the back half. Plush and round; floral and spice notes linger on a very long, subtly tannic finish. This is pretty impressive for an entry-level offering. (Josh Raynolds)
Wine Advocate Review Rated 90 The 2014 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, which is due to be released in June/July this year, has a refined bouquet with perfumed red cherry and wild strawberry scents; there is a hint of vanilla pod from the new oak, although there is actually slightly less new wood than the other bottlings at 20-25%. The palate is medium-bodied with sweet ripe tannin, boysenberry and raspberry fruit, a fine line of acidity and a precise finish. This is a lovely 2014 Pinot Noir.
Wine Tasting Notes Bing cherry, plums, and exotic spices on the nose. Framed by fine, textured tannins that lead to a creamy palate of red berries, bramble, black fruit, and dark chocolate. Balanced acidity throughout that finishes long with tobacco and wood spice.
