Pochteca Liqueurs are made with 100% agave tequila and agave nectar. They are made from all natural extracts obtained from alcohol infused herbs, grains and fruits of the region. The combination of these materials gives each liqueur, while refined and complex, a well-balanced and well defined flavor.
At sight - Moderate intense hue that is transparent and bright.
To the Nose - Aromaticity is slightly acidic and more prone to that of candy. This may be considered correct as the fruit itself has no great aromatic flavor. Faint herbal scent of tequila, sweet aromatic taste overwhelms the cooked agave. As the fresh fruit gives off a very subtle and delicate aroma, it is difficult to keep the olfactory memory for identification to be incorporated into a liqueur as other aromas converge with the smells, and spectrum of high amplitude.
To the Mouth - Considering that in this fresh fruit, there is a combination of acidity and sweetness; the slightest aromatic taste of pomegranate is perceived. The finish is nice to the mouth, but short; mainly due to the faint taste of aromatic and flavor of pomegranate.

I enjoy making my own version of a Paloma, using Pochteca Pomegranate, Squirt, and Tajin chili powder. Hey eh, this is an all natural liqueur, so it's best when used in a cocktail.
I tried this looking for a more economical version of La Pinta. This product was harsh with overly sweet syrupy flavor mixed in. I did not try it in a mixed cocktail, so it may have some uses there I suppose. This brand is not suitable to sip on its own.
