Product DescriptionWine Advocate Review
Like the other wines from Podernuovo a Palazzone, the 2012 Therra shows a very focused and precise personality. This is a lovely and well balanced red blend based on Sangiovese with Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Montepulciano and Merlot. The bouquet is seamless and smooth. The mouthfeel is never too heavy despite the wine's obvious structure and power. This red has the grit and determination to pair with hearty Tuscan meat dishes. It should age steadily over the next ten years or more.
James Suckling Review
A firm and fresh wine with currants, berries and flowers. Medium to full body and a bright finish. This is lively and focused. Drink now.
Wine Tasting Notes
Therra has a ruby red color with dark purple and almost black hues. Hints of wild berries, black fruits, cocoa, leather, toasty, mint, freshly cut wood. The taste is spicy with balsamic notes, hot and strong, the end is dry and clean.
Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and a small amount of Petit Verdot and Malbec
