Light golden yellow color in the glass. Wonderful aromatic purity featuring scents of lemon curd, pineapple, marzipan and a hint of oak vanillin. This wine really makes a statement on the palate with a delicious array of citrus flavors augmented with notes of honey, caramel and vanilla. The flavors surprisingly build in intensity in the mouth, climaxing in an extended lemon drop party. Complimenting the gorgeous fruit core, there is a steely and saline-infused acidity in the background that gifts the wine crispness and vibrancy. A stunning wine that spectacularly fulfills the promise of the West Sonoma Coast.
Wine Enthusiast Review
A high-acid, weighty and complex white, this vintage is even better than the last, gorgeous in a golden tannish color. Tropical guava and white flowers weave seamlessly through a web of minerality and freshness, without compromising body and texture. This is a delicious wine.

The 2013 Chardonnay Wayfarer Vineyard shows just how well suited this site is to Chardonnay. Lemon oil, jasmine, apricot pit and white pepper are all beautifully articulated in a tense, crystalline Chardonnay that dazzles with brilliance. This is by far the most chiseled Chardonnay in the Pahlmeyer range, and a great example of what is possible on the coast. (Antonio Galloni)
Wine Spectator Review
Combines rich tiers of smoky oak and honey-laced fig and melon flavors. The texture is raw and pithy, suggesting time in the bottle will help. Most impressive on the finish, where the flavors maintain their density, focus and persistence. Drink now through 2019.
Wine Tasting Notes
This wine emits a pale yellow-green silver glow. Wayfarer Vineyard's cool coastal influence is evident in the wine's complex aromatics, layered texture and impeccable balance. An interplay of citrus, orange blossom, Asian pear, white peach and flinty aromatics echoes and expands on the palate. Flavors are lifted and extended by acidity that washes over the sumptuous structure framing the expansive mid-palate. A finish of tangerine and acacia with hints of roasted almond and honeysuckle lingers in the mouth. Generous and complex, this wine will continue to evolve and open. Cellar 5-8+ years.
