Cardinale Winery

Cardinale is a wine inspired by the mountain terroir of its Napa Valley estate and select vineyards along the Mayacamas and Vaca Ranges. Cardinale's densely planted, low yielding vines endure the challenging elements that produce exceptional grapes. The wine is nurtured and animated through careful mountain viticulture and innovative artisan methods.

Cardinale creates a single wine from each vintage. The wine is a limited production Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend made from distinct and diverse mountain and bench vineyards situated in the Mayacamas and Vaca mountain ranges surrounding the Napa Valley.

 Made from select lots of low-yielding vines, Cardinale is in essence, many wines merged into one. The flavor characteristics establish distinctive "footprints" of individual flavor components that lend complexity to the blend. In the bottle, Cardinale is classy, elegant and refined.

Our vineyard team strives to grow grapes that reflect the Character of each vineyard and appellation, using a variety of practices to coax the optimal wine out of each unique site. These practices include dry farming, canopy management, and careful hand-harvesting when the grapes have reached their optimum ripeness.

We also seek to use farming practices that are environmentally sensitive, and our Oakville vineyard is registered organic with the state of California.
