Merryvale Vineyards

The first winery built in the Napa Valley following the repeal of Prohibition, Merryvale is located in the heart of America's premier wine region. Our goal is to craft elegant, complex world-class wines in the finest European style yet reflecting the exuberant fruit from Napa Valley's finest vineyards. To that end, we emphasize quality over quantity and no compromises.

In the beginning is the vineyard - the true source of a wine's greatness. Merryvale's estate vineyard drapes a ridgetop high above St. Helena in the heart of the Napa Valley. Sumptuous Bordeaux varietal grapes (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot) contribute to the legend that is 'Profile' - our proprietary red blend.

Additional fruit is selected from vineyards recognized for the excellence of their micro-climate, soils and management -- from warm Spring Mountain in the north to the mid-Napa Valley (ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon), to foggy Carneros in the south (where San Francisco / San Pablo Bay breezes yield luscious Merlot and Chardonnay).

Vineyard jewels such as Showket (Oakville), Star (Rutherford), Sangiacomo (Carneros) and Beckstoffer's Georges III (Rutherford), Vineyard X (Oakville) and Las Amigas (Carneros) provide the rich diversity and quality needed to ensure Merryvale the best possible fruit for each varietal, each vintage.
