When you taste wine from a great vineyard it has a distinct personality: a taste, a feel, a look; something that makes it different from any other vineyard in the world. This distinct personality, however, is the sum of a variety of personalities within the vineyard itself. Understanding and interpreting these personalities is the greatest challenge in the evolution of a great vineyard and the wine produced from it. Our philosophy is to allow the grapes and terroir to express themselves naturally in every glass of Viader.

Our distinctive blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc is designed to capture the ideal balance between the two; the Cabernet Franc contributes to early approachability, instilling the aromatics and providing silky structure ; the Cabernet Sauvignon provides the backbone, structure, character and complexity with succulent fruit and rich tannins and allows long aging potential.

Argentine born Delia Viader came to the United States as a post-graduate college student.
She holds a doctorate in Philosophy from the Sorbonne University in Paris, France and pursued advanced business Studies at three American Universities, inculding Enology and Viticulture at UC Davis.

Delia's son, Alan Viader has the opportunity of overseeing the entire production of Viader wines, from start to finish. Having spent his childhood growing up on the Viader Estate, his passion for wine and this unique terroir is augmented by the academic knowledge he gained in college. At any given time, Alan can be found attending to the vines on the Viader Property.
