In Ardbeg Drum, Ardbeg Scotch whisky from ex-Bourbon casks has been rested in ex-rum casks from the Americas to produce a downright wondrous paradiddle of aromas. Fragrant pine resin, woodsmoke and seaspray dance alongside ripe banana and pineapple. Lavender, liquorice and vanilla sway into rich dark chocolate, before parading into a long, smoky finish.
- AROMA: Smoked apple and pineapple, ripe banana, fragrant pine resin and subtle woodsmoke. Dry cocoa powder, cinnamon and ginger spiced dates and 'floating' lavender notes.
- TASTE: Peppery texture, huge smoky palate, oil, tar, creosote, rich dark chocolate. A treasure of spices - clove, liquorice and ginger mingles with smoked vanilla.
- FINISH: Intense smoke on the finish, more spice with a sweet coffee liqueur finish.
