With delicious blackberry and cassis fruit, the lofty alcohol (14.5%) of this 2005 is not the least bit noticeable, but demonstrates the ripeness achieved at this property, now owned by the proprietor of the famous Lalique crystal. The wine is dense purple, rich, medium to full-bodied and powerful, with loads of minerality and depth. Drink it over the next 10-15 years. This will be a long-lived wine.
Wine Tasting Notes
From a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, this ripe, rich, opulently textured wine is stuffed with licorice, coffee bean and chocolate covered black cherries with a touch of jam.
