Wine & Spirits Review
Plump and generous in its complex flavors, this layers red cherry over rich green-olive notes and smoky, resinous tobacco scents that last. It has the peppery spice of alcohol, but that's managed by the grip of tannins and the clean, gently persistent fruit. Decant it if you open it now. For roast lamb.
Wine Tasting Notes
The Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is nearly opaque garnet in color with aromas of plum reduction, chocolate truffles and mint root, it has flavor of vanilla bean, sassafras, Kenyan coffee and Bing cherry. On the palate, it is succulent with powdered cacao tannins. and a savory finish reminiscent of a Serrano ham.
