Wine Advocate Review
Rated 90
Gerin's 2016 St Joseph is a winner that savvy ready should seek out. Giving up classic, old school notes of leather, peppery herbs, bacon fat and black raspberry-scented fruit, it's medium-bodied, has beautiful purity and fine tannin that emerge on the finish. I'd happily drink it anytime over the coming 5-6 years.
Wine Tasting Notes
Vibrant blackish-purple in color. Notes of smoke meats, violet and garrigue. Pairs well with veal stew, lamb, duck, risotto, stuffed mushrooms, hard cheeses.
