During the era of Prohibition, over 200 distilleries were compelled to shut down. Despite this, Old Forester managed to stay in operation as we were granted one of the six medicinal licenses, P-3, by the federal government. In 1924, Old Forester obtained barrels from defunct distilleries with varying mash bills, and bottled the liquid as Old Forester. This particular release, Old Forester 1924 10 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky, serves as a tribute to that significant period in history.
