Product DescriptionJeb Dunnuck Review
It offers a brilliantly pure, seamless bouquet of crème de cassis, toasted spice, new saddle leather, and leafy herbs and lavender. Deep, rich, and multi-dimensional on the palate, it's a full-bodied, layered, awesome entry level wine that can be drunk today with tons of pleasure or cellared for 15-20 years.
Wine Advocate Review
Deep garnet-purple colored, it reveals notions of scorched earth, tar, tilled black soil and fungi over a core of blackcurrant cordial, aniseed, dark chocolate and espresso plus a waft of tobacco. Full-bodied, concentrated and very earthy in the mouth, the rich, black fruits are superbly framed by firm, grainy tannins and just enough freshness, finishing long and mineral laced.
VinoUS Media Review
The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is gorgeous. Vibrant and focused, with tons of savor y energy, the Napa Valley Cabernet is once again a huge overachiever in this range. An exotic mélange of black cherry, plum, pomegranate, blood orange, chocolate, savory herb, leather and sage builds into the deep, resonant finish. Most of this fruit is young-vine Cabernet from the Wools Ranch on Mt. Veeder. O'Shaughnessy's Napa Valley Cabernet is the hidden gem in this range and also one of the very finest wines in its peer group. Don't miss it.
Wine Tasting Notes
Blend of their Mount Veeder and Howell Mountain Vineyards. This classic Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon captures the essence of the vintage with its lively bouquet of violets, sandalwood, wild plum and kirsch. The palate is dense and focused with integrated tannins and layers of boysenberry, crème de cassis, bittersweet chocolate and tobacco. This is a wine that immediately impresses and will have a long life in the cellar.
